Herbert and Mistress of the Cavern
Herbert is franticly summoned back to Mushroomland. Upon his arrival, he finds his beloved Forest Town virtually abandoned and devastated. Most of the mushroom people, frightened by the unsettling vibrations from mysterious underground activities have fled from their homes. Herbert and his little mushroom friends decide to conduct an investigation. With the help of Old Truffle, they travel through the Underground Maze (Adventures of Little Herbert in Mushroom Land), where they come up against the Mistress of the Cavern. She forces them join the scores of Crystal Laborers working in the mines. Only after proving to be hard workers are the mushrooms granted admittance to the other levels of the Cavern where they are convinced lays the source of the disturbing activities. What Herbert and his friends find out is terrifying: Humans are constructing the super mighty, secret nuclear plant that once fully activated, threatens to destroy all of Mushroomland and the surrounding kingdoms. Can Herbert help save the day once more?
